The course that is most known at the Seaview Golf Resort is the Bay Course, as it is home to the LPGA Classic. The Bay Course is a links style course that was designed by the legendary architect Donald Ross and was the first course to open at Seaview in 1914. The Bay Course is 18 holes and has a par of 71. It is a course for any level of skill but does have its challenges. Its challenges include classic mounding, tall grasses that block the high faced bunkers, small greens, and challenging winds from the Atlantic Ocean.
The Pines Course at the Seaview Golf Resort was designed by Toomy and Flynn. It has been open to golfers since 1929. The Pines Course is also an 18 hole course with a par of 71. The course is a traditional American style layout with beautiful surroundings and challenging playability. Over the years the Pines has seen a couple of changes as it has made the switch to Bent grass fairways and Kentucky Bluegrass. The grass helps the course be less prone to disease and extreme weather. The Pines Course has been said to be more difficult than the Bay Course. The difficulties include narrow fairways that are lined with thick rows of trees, protected landing areas, and fast greens.
New to the Seaview Golf Resort is the Turtle Course. The Turtle Course is for those who are looking to play a more relaxing game of golf or families looking to play. This course is a nine hole putting course with holes that are gently sloped. It is the perfect location for a friendly putting competition. Turtle Course got its name because during the summer months Diamond Terrapins make their home on the Bay Course.
If you want to spend the weekend playing both the Bay and Pines Course, spend the night at the Stockton Seaview Hotel. The hotel has 296 guest rooms and 16 suites that include wireless internet, flat screen TVs, and complimentary Lavazza coffee. Nothing is better than spending the night in a luxurious room and waking up the next day to play another round of golf.
Both golf courses at the Seaview Golf Resort have been recognized as a 4 star course to play in Golf Digest, a “top 100 women-friendly course in North America”, and a “Top 20 Golf Resort in the World”. They both are certainly must play courses. Add the Bay and Pines course at the Seaview Golf Resort to your Atlantic City golf package today.
