McCullough’s Emerald Golf Links is one of the more unique golf courses in the Atlantic City area. Built in 2002, McCullough’s combines both new and old golfing traditions. It is a great course to experience.
Located in Egg Harbor Township, minutes away from Atlantic City, McCullough’s Emerald Golf Links was designed by Stephen Kay. He designed the course with both an Irish and Scottish feel. Golfers are able to enjoy the challenges of wide open fairways, heavy winds, and rolling greens. For the links experience, there are five water holes and 100-foot elevation changes.
What makes McCullough’s Emerald Golf Links unique? The seventh hole. This hole was originally designed by architect Alister Mckensie, who was awarded for the design. He never had the opportunity to build, allowing Kay to create it as a tribute. It is the biggest hole that Kay had ever built. It has a par of 4 and consists of large bunkers along with wide fairways, the widest point measuring at 159 yards.
