The Atlantic City Country Club has been open since 1898 and has been making history ever since. The history all began when Atlantic City businessmen had a meeting to discuss bringing in more guests to the area. Golf was a fairly new concept but quickly became popular as the eighteen holes were rapidly designed and developed.

Atlantic City Country Club is a course of firsts. The famous golf term “birdie” originated at the club in 1903 as it was used to represent a score of one under par on the 12th hole. The term “eagle” was also first used at the Atlantic City Country Club. The club was also a historical place for tournaments. It held the first senior tour event along with the first intercollegiate Ivy League Championship.

The course is designed with a Scottish and Irish Links feel. With a par of 70 play on a course with fast greens, top rated playing conditions, and the Atlantic City skyline in the background.
